“Most scary stories are, of course, meant to be told. They are more scary that way. But how you tell them is important.”

― Alvin Schwartz

Happy #FriGHTFREMMES friends! We hope you're ready for Vol.III of the season because it's all sort of creepy. DOT, Scary Stories To Tell in the Dark

Ruthmarie aka @the.vintage.raven | Vintage Enthusiast - Sewist - Vlogger- Capricorn

Ruthmarie has clearly captivated one of our worst nightmares. To see a small little dot grow rapidly only to reveal that it was a casing of spiders! No Thank you lol!!! This horror look is great for anyone looking for a big impact with a clear focus. You can see her costume and makeup breakdown via her blog HERE.

Creepy Clown

Laura at @LauraJadePrado |Illustration Artist - Designer - Blogger - Sagittarius

Laura has brought us back to the creativity of sourcing through your craft box, and maybe thrifting pieces from costumes past, but also twisting and revamping a style she had created a couple year's ago. She once made a clown look that had vintage style and pastel looks (look here), but this creepy clown looks as if she could be it's evil step-sister. One "green with envy" as Laura describes the nature of this clown. I think this is one look you should pin to do with your bestie for a duo costume HERE.

If you grew up in the 90's then you are very familiar with " Scary Stories To Tell in The Dark" a book that stirred up controversy among parents, except my parents were into it lol, and most likely your parents didn't mind either if you're Halloweens were filled with these stories. Halloween was always big in our homes and when this book came out, my mom even bought the recordings on cassette and would play it in the dark on our boombox. The music attached was a perfect blend of 80s/90s style terror. The one thing that truly made this book come to life were the illustrations by Stephen Gammell. The black and white ink drawings were something non of my siblings and I have ever seen and they were CREEPY! Burned in my memory. So naturally when we picked creepy vibes for this Friday the 13th, I chose the cover of the Skull with the pipe that had just a little splash of red and blue.
