"'Tis TIME" as Winifred would say, October is only a week away! If you are just joining us this year, Laura and I have a deep love for cosplay, preferable spooky themed and decided to collaborate with our blogs in 2015 and create the collaboration #frightfemmes ! Since then we have been creating looks, costume pieces and thrifting items in hopes that we inspire you all out there. It was also a way for us to tap into our inner witchy child and play! Then last year we asked one of our friend's, Ruthmarie a.k.a. The Vintage Raven, who also shares the same passion for cosplay and spooky season, to join, and we instantly became a COVEN! All you need is three to become one and us three together brings a beautiful variety ideas and inspiration for anyone following along.
"It's just a bunch of Hocus Pocus..." - Winifred Sanderson
This year is extra special, because all three of us are beyond excited for the new Hocus Pocus! Like many of you, we are geeking out with what's to come as the premiere nears and with enough magic we decided to put together our own version of the Sanderson Sisters. Laura as Sally, Ruthmarie as Mary, and myself as Winifred.
* Ruthmarie handmade her and my corsets, as well as dyed her fabrics, and created the special "BoooOOOoooooK. Laura also hand dyed her corset and sewed her skirt together. It was a beautiful rendition of the sister's costume and something we envision when we think of The Sanderson Sisters...
