#FRIGHTFEMMES15 [ VOL.I ]



Happy October 1st EVERYONE!

The house is decked, my phone walllpaper is decked, and now our blogs both The Weekend Gypsy and Blonde2Brunette ARE DECKED! HALLOWEEN mode is in full throttle, (for me until Nov.2nd All Saint's Day)!!! So without further ado.... here's the first instalment of this year's #FRIGHTFEMMES15 :

LAURA VOL.1

GYPSY GLAM

~She lives for the weekend, wanderlusts over far-away places, and dreams of a life where creativity is abundant everywhere. It's a pivotal moment in her life, when she picks her head up high, pushes back the self-doubt, and sprinkles a little magic over everything she sets her sights on. A dreamer, a do-er, a Weekend Gypsy.~




GET THE LOOK

  • Start off with your regular foundation/base + powder.

  • Pop on some strong/bold brows to prep for the heavier eye shadows coming up.

  • Next add bronzer to warm up the complexion and finish the face with contour + highlighting.

  • Use a variety of browns, purples, maroons, and earthy tone eyeshadows to create a warm "halo" effect around your eyes. (Quick Tip: if you're wearing this out all night, start with a long lasting cream shadow base and then layer your powders over top)

  • Follow that up with a deep, wine colored lipstick and you're good to go!

  • Added bonus: apply purple/grey contacts to really make your eyes pop!

  • For the costume: head to your closet and throw on literally whatever screams boho-chic. This costume is more about the jewelry than the clothing. Layer on tons of necklaces, bracelets, and rings to really add that gypsy vibe.

  • The headpiece: This can be made out of an upcycled or broken necklace (mine is from Forever21). Make sure to bobby pin it in place and use hair spray if you plan on wearing it out all night!

GRUNGE GOTHIC CLOWN

~She has a secret and will never tell. Tired of hearing people telling her she'll never amoint to anything, she uses humor to mask her hidden insecurities. Don't be fooled by the slightly turned smaile... her twisted mind is busy planning out revenge on the last fool that f@#$ed with her...~



SPEAK NO EVIL

~ Susan slept with Adam... Mary has an eating disorder... Ryan is a corrupt cop. She Learned the hard way to keep gossip off her lips. Speak only kind words or you'll en up with a little something on your face...~

CARO VOL.1

GOTHIC GLAM MICKEY

~She's not your average Mickey, nor does she live for the magic. Purely SHOCK FACTOR during her obscene performances! She prides herself with her winning R.B.F. ( Resting B@#$% Face), and resides in DISMALAND. Don't go looking for her, she doesn't want to be found...~



YOUNG MALEFICENT- DARK FAIRY

~ "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" a quote that lies deep within the heart of this, young Maleficent. Although there is still light simmering within her eyes, an inevitable fever of rage will soon begin to boil...~




GET THE LOOK

  • All you need is black grease paint ,black shadow, purple shadow for your base.

  • Black, purple, and multi colored glitter, plus illuminating highlight.

  • You can easily invert or pick a different pair of colors to create your fairy.

  • I then used floral wire attached to a headband. Later I attached my braids to the floral wire and manipulated how I wanted my braids to stand. Using loose hair I covered any parts of the headband I wanted to be unseen.

  • I grabbed my black wings, black deep ‘V’ leotard, and added more illuminator to my shoulders, chest, collar bone, etc.

  • If you plan on wearing this outfit out, I say add some opaque/ glittered stockings or nude stockings, maybe a tulle cloak, and some nude tie ups to make your legs appear longer.

POISONED GOLD DIGGER

~ She was so close. So close from snagging the will, bu her billion dollar inheritance noticed something in the "nick of time"...and with quick unnoticed action, he gave the cocktail tray a swivel. As they clanked and took their sips, he lastly said " You shouldn't be so sloppy, a scotch on the rocks never fizzles..." ~



VOL. 1 complete and still more looks to come! Who's ready for more? I can't tell you how fun and crazy it's been collaborating with Laura, from THE WEEKEND GYPSY.
