[Kelly'] Make-Up Bag Essentials

Like every girl out there obsessed with all things beauty, my makeup and skincare products are constantly changing because I love to try new products. But, as much as we all love to test out new goodies, we always go back to certain staples that just work.

I get asked all the time what my favorite beauty products are and what to recommend because my friends always know I’m the first at Sephora or Ulta trying out all the new merch. I came up with a short list of essentials that any girl can get their hands on for a flawless day look that can even go into the night. With a few tips, you can follow my guide to a gorgeous and flawless face! My go-to look is classic and sexy, think Marilyn Monroe or Bridgette Bardot. A flawless face, lined eyes and a nice lip (be it nude or fire engine red).

Necessities: Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer (I use ‘Nude’) MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC20 Laura Mercier Loose Mineral Powder (Best mineral powder ever!) Chanel Universal Bronzing creme Dior Rosy glow blush (it’s an investment, but will last you forever and a total must!) Benefit They’re Real Push Up Liner (amazing, amazing, amazing!) Benefit Gimme Brow! Brow gel in dark brown L’oreal Voluminous in Carbon Black Dior Lip Maximizer lipgloss (collagen plumps your lips with the slightest tingle and the rosiest hue)

Tools: Sephora Mineral Powder Brush #45 MAC Stippling Brush #130

How To: I begin my makeup application with the LM Tinted Moisturizer, which not only gives a little coverage (very light though) but also provides some hydration and SPF. I then use the MAC #130 brush to apply my concealer under the eyes just to really wake them up a bit. I go on to use the Sephora Mineral brush to apply my LM mineral powder by buffing in short, quick circles to really give me that flawless coverage. The two brushes I use are a must for makeup/foundation application!

I move on to apply my Chanel Bronzer in the contouring method (temples, forehead, cheekbones and jawline) and then dust the apples of my cheeks with Dior Rosy Glow. At this point my makeup looks flawless and sometimes I just add a little mascara and I’m out the door, but if I do have a little time, I love to fill in my brows with a little tinted brow gel, line my top eye lids with a nice cat eye and plump up the volume on my lashes! Finish off with a little Dior Lip Maximizer and you are good to go!

Wanna take this look into the night? I just reapply some bronzer to darken the contours of my face and add more drama with a thicker lined cat eye, I might also change up the color of my lips to a coral pout using MAC Vegas Volt (another staple).

Hope you enjoyed my favorites along with some tips and tricks.

XOXO, Kelly

P.S.
